About Us

Welcome to Pi Point Tutoring. We are a free math tutoring non-profit based in Sammamish, Washington that focuses on elementary and middle school students. To get in contact with us, click the “Email Us” button below or send an email to pipointtutoring01@gmail.com. We are excited to help your kid on their academic journey!

Sample Lesson

Lessons will generally be about 30 minutes long, although this is flexible based on student needs and parent requests.

They will begin with a check in that will pinpoint what exactly the student needs help with and an example of that concept.

Then the student will do a couple problems alone for the tutor to gauge what exactly they are struggling with

Next, the tutor will teach the student the concept as a whole, while focusing on what exactly the are struggling with

After that comes some guided practice, in which the student will do some practice problems with light guidance from the tutor.

Finally, the student will do a problem or two independently to show that they have mastered the concept. If this is a more difficult concept, this may be spread out over multiple sessions.

The session is concluded with the tutor giving a few practice problems for the student to work on at home.

Meet the Team

Founder - Aalay Shah

Hi, my name is Aalay Shah, and I am the founder and creator of Pi Point Tutoring. I am Junior at Skyline High School, and I have a strong passion for Math and helping other students. My leadership background includes teaching piano and running summer camps with the Seattle Raga Institute, being the president of the SRI Youth Board and Vice President of the Medical Ethics club at Skyline, and helping to run basketball summer camps at Skyline High School. I am a junior at Skyline High School with a 3.98 GPA and am in the National Honor Society. I am a part of the IB Diploma program at Skyline next year and currently am taking IB HL Math this year. My favorite subject is math because it requires you to think logically and many times use out of the box thinking to arrive at your answer.
